| Sounds like you did a better job filing out your application than most adults do. I would call the manager and just say "my name is ___ I applied for the job on ______ date and wondering if you had time to review my application. Let the manager take it from there. I doubt he/she will check you references but it still looks good to have people who will be character references for you. The only reason I say he/she won't check is because it's most likey a position that has a high rate of turnover. |
